Reading Nook Ideas
When you love to read, you love to have a cozy space perfectly tailored to all your book needs. I have some ideas for the perfect reading nook in 2026.
Buy a bunch of sticky tabs on Temu. I mean you get a lot for the value. I bought some here recently and have loved having so many color options used to match the colors of the book.
Use sticky highlighter tabs/tape for long quotes you may want to highlight in your personal copies of the book. Here’s an example of what I am talking about here.
Get some sort of sound machine. It helps stay focused when you read to have a calm fireplace or rain noise in the background.
Find a cozy reading chair or bed to put in your corner. It will feel more inviting and help you want to stay on top of your reading goals.
A lot of people suggest using candles when you read, but I would suggest using a candle warmer. Just seems like a safer option for your reading nook space.
Get some sort of creative bookshelf for your current reads. Even a small one such as this would do.
Use some sort of reading tracker to track how many pages or books you read. I suggest looking at Everyday Reading’s free yearly reading log (found on her blog/website) if you don’t know where to start.
Overall, there are so many ideas to make a reading nook cozy and fun, but these are some of my favorites that I hope you find useful and helpful in your reading journey! Let me know if you have any other awesome suggestions that I haven’t thought of yet and as always, feel free to leave your questions below!
