The PLAN : Manage Your Time Like a Lazy Genius Review

Book Written by Kendra Adachi

This book was written by a New York Times Bestselling Author so I had really high hopes for this book. I loved how she mentions, “…in order to really live, you must live in your season. Your season defines your needs, your needs affect your priorities, and your priorities inform your choices. If you’re not aware of your season, life becomes too unwieldy, too spread out, too unmanageable.” Unwieldy means that it’s difficult to carry or move something so essentially, it’s saying that if you don’t know the season you are in it will be hard to carry the weight that comes along with it. She talks about how being in the present is more manageable than we often will think.

Adachi brings up the point of being in the present and having the right mindset and says, “Do not judge every day against your best day.” Obviously being in the present is not always going to be your best day, however, we can still live with things in order with our season to hopefully find that best day.

Just a heads up! This book does talk about women’s periods so it is kind of geared more towards women. It talks about the how our energy affects our plans and the book goes through the cycle and how it relates to the seasons of life.

I would recommend this book to anyone who:

  • has an interest in creating solid plans.

  • follows acronyms well and wants to learn to implement them such as PLAN (Prepare, Live, Adjust, Notice).

  • is curious about what season of life they are in and how to plan for it.

  • needs more help being productive.
